Privacy Policy
1. About This Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Ignite the Fire Financial Mentoring, LLC (doing business as “Ignite the Fire”), a Missouri limited liability company (“ITF,” “we,” “us”), handles personal information in connection with our website at www.itfmentor.com and our marketing and business-development activities.
It applies to people who visit our website, submit our discovery form or otherwise contact us, subscribe to our emails, or are prospective-client contacts.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide:
- Discovery form. Our discovery form is hosted on Google Forms. We collect the name, email, business information, and any other details you choose to enter.
- Email subscription. If you subscribe to our email list, we collect your email address and, if given, your name.
- Correspondence. If you email us or speak with us, we keep the content of that exchange, including notes we take.
- Prospect information. During business-development conversations we may record your name, employer, role, and the business needs you share.
Information collected automatically: When you visit the site, our hosting provider (Vercel) logs standard technical data in the course of serving the page: IP address, browser type, pages and timestamps, referring URL, and the general region inferred from your IP.
What we do not collect: Social Security or government ID numbers, financial account numbers, precise geolocation, biometric identifiers, health information, information from anyone under 18, or data defined as “sensitive” under applicable law — unless you volunteer it.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information to: respond to your inquiries and schedule conversations; evaluate whether our services fit your needs and prepare proposals; send marketing or educational emails to people who opted in; operate and improve the website; meet legal obligations; protect our rights and others’; and run ordinary business operations (recordkeeping, accounting, planning).
AI-assisted evaluation of discovery submissions. When you submit our discovery form, we use an AI assistant (Anthropic’s Claude) to help us analyze your responses and prepare an internal brief before our first conversation. Whether our AI provider may use inputs to improve its own models is governed by that provider’s terms in addition to this policy; you can review Anthropic’s terms at anthropic.com/legal/consumer-terms. If you would prefer your submission not be processed this way, email us (Section 13) and we will handle your inquiry manually.
4. How We Share Information
We share personal information only as follows.
Service providers who process information on our behalf under contract:
| Provider | Purpose | Data |
|---|---|---|
| Google LLC | Discovery form (Google Forms), business email and calendar (Google Workspace) | Form submissions, correspondence, meeting metadata |
| Vercel Inc. | Website hosting | Technical log data (IP, request data) |
| Beehiiv, Inc. | Email newsletter delivery | Subscriber email/name, engagement metadata |
| Anthropic, PBC | AI-assisted analysis of discovery submissions (Section 3) | Discovery-form responses and related prospect information |
Legal and safety. We may disclose information to comply with a legal obligation, court order, or subpoena; to protect the rights, property, or safety of ITF or others; to investigate fraud or a security incident; or to enforce our Terms of Use.
Business transfers. If ITF is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale, personal information may transfer as part of that transaction; we will require the successor to honor this policy or give notice of a material change.
At your direction. We share information with others when you ask us to (for example, an introduction).
5. Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law.
- Discovery submissions and prospect correspondence: kept while the relationship is active or being evaluated, and for a reasonable period afterward — typically up to three (3) years after last contact — unless you ask us to delete sooner.
- Email subscribers: until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion.
- Website technical logs: per our host’s default (typically 30 days or less).
6. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards — access controls, encryption in transit, managed credentials, and least-privilege access to provider accounts. No system is perfectly secure. We will notify affected individuals and authorities of a confirmed breach as required by law.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to: (a) access the personal information we hold about you; (b) correct it; (c) delete it, subject to legal exceptions; (d) unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time; (e) object to or restrict certain processing; and (f) receive a copy in a portable format.
To exercise any right, contact us (Section 13). We will respond within the time applicable law requires (typically 30–45 days), may verify your identity first, and will not discriminate against you for exercising a right.
8. California Residents
If you are a California resident, the CCPA (as amended by the CPRA) gives you additional rights, including to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA. To exercise your California rights, contact us (Section 13).
9. Children’s Privacy
The website is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child gave us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. International Users
ITF is based in the United States. If you access the site from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the site or submitting information, you consent to that transfer.
11. Third-Party Links
Our website and emails may link to third-party sites we do not control and are not responsible for. Review their privacy policies before providing information.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. We will change the “Last Updated” date and, for material changes, give additional notice via the website or email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
